1945. A US military cargo plane loses control and crashes violently behind enemy lines in the middle of the German black forest. Major Johnson sends a team of his bravest soldiers on a rescue mission to retrieve top-secret material, led by Sergeant Brewer and Walsh. They soon discover hanged Nazi soldiers and other corpses bearing ancient, magical symbols. Suddenly their compass is distorted, their perception is distorted, and being away from the group leads to deep fears when attacked by a powerful, supernatural force.
